DO YOU DO POLITICS?
Most people say that they don’t do politics. That politics is not important to them. That they don’t have the time.
Well, if you don’t do politics, politics will do you – Quote from a Politician (Pol).
Every time an election happens, there is a chance that your life will be changed in a very big bad way. You may lose your job, your house, your savings, etc. You will probably never see it happening.
The change is never quick, never obvious. The change is gradual, sneaky.
Were we ever asked whether we wanted to send our jobs overseas in the 80s?
No one asked me or my friends? It just happened when they changed the laws.
Our Pols changed the taxes on imports from overseas to a very low rate. That meant that our Big Corporations (Big Corps) could send our jobs overseas, make the products there for a lot less and bring the products back to the USA for a very small tax.
Many people lost their jobs that way, and it continues. Those people were done by politics and the Pols. Their lives were changed forever. They had to find new jobs, maybe move away from their family, maybe lose their homes, etc.
The Pols changed our laws to help the Big Corps get cheaper labor overseas.
Those people who lost their jobs didn’t do anything wrong. Yet, their lives were changed forever.
Sure, they can buy cheaper TVs. But, if you don’t have a job or a job that pays a reasonable wage, you can’t buy that cheaper TV. I would rather have a good paying job and pay more for a TV. Heck, I would rather have fewer things and a good paying job.
We now realize that the low tax rates on imports are a problem for many of our citizens and our economy. Instead of having jobs and paying taxes, these citizens are a burden to the Gov because they receive welfare to keep them alive.
Only the Big Corps and their stockholders have made money on these lower import taxes. Our economy has lost millions of jobs in just 30 years. And there is no end in sight.
Their jobs are not coming back. Unless, you do politics and change the laws!
